Speedbag rear fairing
Do you want to carry your commuting luggage comfortably and on the same time even improove your bike's aerodynamics? Then the Speedbag is the ideal accessory to mount for you. It serves both as a comfortable trunk and a aerodynamic rear fairing. As it is moulded from glass-fibre-reinforced plastic it is very light, weighing only 2,5 - 3 kgs. A lock protects the contents of your Speedbag against thieves.
The opening of the Speedbag is a triangular shape with 33 cm base lenght and 36 cm height.
The Speedbag comes in orange, making your bike highly visible in traffic.
The shape of the Speedbag is precisely fitted to the design of our seat and the necessary room for suspension travel. To install the Speedbag, you connect it to the seat and the frame with screws. This is why you can not adjust the Street Machine Gt's seat angle so easily anymore with the Speedbag. The maximum load allowance is 10 kgs. We recommend to use our lowrider-carrier with panniers together with the Speedbag for heavy touring.
We ship the Speedbag as a kit for self-assembly. We recommend to cover the surface between seat and Speedbag with double sided self adhesive tape to avoid any unwanted noise due to small moovements. You then secure the Speedbag by drilling 6-8 holes close to the edge of the seat and connect the two parts with screws. Make sure to use screws with large heads and equivalent washers. An aditional link to the frame at the struts originally intended for the rear carrier provides extra stiffnes. The Speedbag can be used as an alternative to our rear carrier.
