From now on, we offer two Shimano STEPS electric bike systems also for our Gekko US models or for retrofitting your trike (Gekko or Scorpion series). The kits come with an external wiring harness and connected battery holder rail for easy installation, allowing us to make this special offer in the USA for the first time.
For price-conscious newcomers, the E5000 model is the unrivaled deal. It’s starting at $2,190 SRP incl. battery plus adapter kit and integrated B&M IQ-XS lighting system. With its harmonious characteristics and a well-dosed torque of 40 Newton meters, the STEPS E5000 is the ideal companion if you’re searching for the decent comfort of a moderately supporting electric assist.
For performance-oriented riders, the extra-powerful EP801 Cargo system is the choice. The top system of the Shimano STEPS lineup impresses with a torque of 85 Newton meters and provides full power practically with the first pedal stroke in its Cargo version. Maximum assistance ratio hereby is a whopping 400 percent! The Shimano STEPS EP801 Cargo E-bike kit is starting at $3,790 SRP incl. battery plus adapter kit and integrated B&M IQ-XS lighting system.
Both systems are available as option when purchasing a new trike of our Gekko US Edition or if you want to retrofit your already existing HP Velotechnik trike. Alternatively to the standard 418 Wh battery we offer a 630 Wh battery on request. You can order our E-bike kits via our retail partners in the USA immediately.
