The comfortable Delta tx makes safe cycling easier than ever before! It starts as soon as you get on: The high seating position and low-slung frame of the Delta tx make it easy to get on and off, while the variable seat systems allow you to find your perfect position in no time. The controls on the ergonomic handlebars are always easy to reach, making steering, shifting gears, and braking a breeze. Wonder what the best part is? You’ll receive support in every situation! All Delta tx trikes from HP Velotechnik come equipped with an electric motor up to 25 km/h (16 mph) or up to 20 mph for the USA, including a push assist up to 6 km/h (4 mph).
Four motor systems with different power profiles are available, and you can choose a fully automatic gearshift for each of the motors. Simply pedal in your own pace, your Delta tx trike will select the right gear for you!
Crucial for the stable riding characteristics is the comfortably suspended frame. The suspension element underneath the seat can be individually adjusted to your weight and a total load of up to 145 kg (320 lbs). The voluminous Super Moto-X tires developed by Schwalbe especially for e-bikes roll extremely smoothly. With their 62 mm (2.4″) width the tires also offer plenty of grip, even on poor roads.

Transporting your trike is easy: The Delta tx is separable for transportation, allowing you to disassemble it into three space-saving parts in three minutes. You can easily lift them into your car and still have enough space for your luggage. For maximum mobility, you only need a minimum of tools – a 5 mm Allen key!

Inch by Inch Ingenious Design
Take hold! The ingenious design ensures smooth directional stability and maximum flexibility. With a turning circle of just 3.20 meters (10’5″), you’ll be able to navigate even the tightest spaces with ease.
Not an inch too high: The Delta tx achieves a comfortable step-through height of just 35 cm (12.6″) by elegantly positioning the cables and the smooth-running chain guard low against the frame. No shoe will get stuck.
Not an inch too wide: At 75 cm (29.5″), the Delta tx is conveniently narrow. This means that you can also ride on narrow paths without any problems. And if you want to take your trike through your gate and door to park it, you can easily roll inside.

Our Mesh Seats – Maximum Ventilation and Adjustability
At HP Velotechnik, we believe that the key to a comfortable ride is a really comfortable seat.
That’s why we have developed the Delta tx with the utmost attention to seating comfort. Our ErgoMesh and ErgoMesh Premium seats are designed to provide maximum ventilation and adjustability. You can choose between two heights: the standard or the HS version, which is 11 cm (4.3″) higher and provides a better overview. Depending on your height and therefore the position of the seat on the frame, you can sit at a height of 59 to 71 cm (23″ to 28″).
Go wide: The ErgoMesh and ErgoMesh Premium seats are also available in two sizes. The XL seats are each 5 cm (2″) wider compared to the standard size. Their backrests are also slightly higher and the seat bases slightly deeper. You can adjust the shape of the seat to your body by tightening or loosening the tensioning straps on the back of the seat.
Our OrthoFlex® technology ensures that even the standard ErgoMesh mesh seat offers plenty of scope for further ergonomic adjustments. It consists of four highly breathable cushions that can be individually cut to size. You insert these 3D cushions into the sides of the seat and backrest and adjust them according to your preferences.
For the ultimate in comfort, our ErgoMesh Premium seat offers independent adjustment of the inclination of the backrest and seat base within a range of 25°. With the optional Seat angle adapter, you can raise the backrest up to a further 9° steeper.

Stepless Adjustment & Easy Split
One Frame Size for the Whole Family
The main frame of the Delta tx comes always in one size. It offers space for people between 1.50 (4’9″) and 2.00 meters (6’6″) tall. For stepless adjustment, simply open the two quick-release levers to slide the seat on the upper frame railing.
However, the Delta tx can also be set up precisely according to your needs in many other ways.You can see how this works with the seat cushions on the previous page. The possibilities of our variable handlebar system are shown on the next page. For smaller users, we recommend short cranks instead of the standard length of 155 mm (6.1″).They have a length of 135 mm (5.3″) for the Bafang motor and the Shimano Steps E5000. For the other two Shimano motors, we offer 140 mm (5.5″) short cranks instead the standard 155 mm.
We offer two different suspension systems. With both, the trike can be perfectly adapted to different body weights and transport volumes. With the standard shock absorber from DNM, you can adjust the suspension preload without tools. The advantage of the optional Monarch RL oil/air shock from RockShox is its highly sensitive response on rough roads.We also provide a suitable air pump for adjusting to different weights.
Easily separable: The Delta tx can be split into three parts in around three minutes. The only tool you need is a 5 mm Allen key. The front section has a packing size of 119 x 60 x 42 cm (46.8″ x 23.6″ x 16.5″; L x H x W, with pedals), the rear section measures 122 x 75 x 60 cm (48″ x 29.5″ x 23.6″; with handlebars and platform carrier).
The seat can be easily stowed next to it for transportation in your car. The weight of the two frame parts is approximately the same, namely around 16 kg (36 lbs) each. This is a great advantage after splitting the trike when lifting the individual parts!

The steering system of the Delta tx is just as variably designed as the frame and seat. The focus for the engineers of HP Velotechnik is on comfort. Getting on and off a tricycle has never been easier!
For maximum comfort when getting on or off the trike, we offer the Terracycle GlideFlex folding stem.This allows the entire handlebars to be simply moved forward for getting on or off the trike.This procedure is as easy as opening and closing the door of a car. In addition, the angle of inclination of the entire construction can be adjusted using the variable limit stop.
The stem of the Delta tx is in three parts. The lower segment is attached to the frame or the GlideFlex element and is always identical. The mount for the front light is attached to it.The middle segment of the stem is available in three different lengths to adjust the bike to your height.We recommend the short stem for people under 1.65 m (5.4′) tall; the standard range covers 1.60 to 1.95 m (5.2′ to 6.4′); taller people over 1.90 m (6.2′) choose the long stem, which also has a longer upper segment.
For a particularly individual adjustment, your specialist dealer can also shorten these segments later on. With the combination of all these options, your Delta tx trike can be perfectly adjusted ergonomically to your height, arm length and hand position.
If you frequently want to adjust the trike to different body sizes for several users in a matter of seconds, select the additional Stem quickadjust option. This allows you to push the middle segment of the stem 8 cm (3.1″) into the lower section or pull it out.The multifunctional 3D printed element developed for this purpose also carries the front light and guides the cable bundle close to the handlebars.
An elegant detail: The quick release with long lever is angled at 90 degrees. This makes it small and visually in line with the stem tube.
Electric Assist
Always With Motor! And a Fully Automatic Gearshift on Request
You can choose from four different electric motors for your Delta tx. All of them are bottom bracket motors that provide additional assistance up to 25 km/h (16 mph), or up to 20 mph in the USA. The basic version comes with the M300 from Bafang. Regardless of how forcefully you pedal, it unleashes its power as soon as you start pedaling. The rotation-controlled system offers 5 power levels and helps you to ride home relaxed even when you start feeling tired. Starting off is even easier with the push-off aid, which you can activate with a lever.
If you appreciate a more sporty feeling, choose one of the three torque-controlled Shimano STEPS motors: the more powerful you pedal, the more assistance the system provides. The E5000 system is ideal if you are looking for a motor with a medium level of assistance at an attractive price. The E6100 provides 50 percent more torque power. The high-end EP801 Cargo system provides 85 Nm and 600 W maximum power for rapid acceleration from the very first pedal stroke.
Many cyclists love to shift gears extensively in order to always pedal in the optimum range. With our automatic gearshifts adapted to the motor profiles, you always ride in the optimum range – without having to lift a finger. While you are waiting at a red light, for example, your system has already shifted into the right gear.
The Enviolo Trekking Automatiq hub is an ideal addition to the Bafang motor. It not only changes the gear ratio automatically, but even without steps!
For the STEPS E5000 and E6100 motors, the Nexus Di2 8-speed hub is a great partner. With the top model, the powerful STEPS EP801 Cargo, you have the choice between the continuously variable Enviolo or the Cues Di2 from Shimano. The Cues is fascinating as the world’s first electric automatic derailleur. Even when you are not pedaling, the chain continues to rotate as required and, thanks to the Autoshift function, ends up in the gear that suits your speed.
Of course, we also have something in our range for fans of traditional manual gearing: the classic encapsulated hub gear, the Rohloff Speedhub. The very low-maintenance 14-speed drivetrain, which is often chosen by experienced riders for challenging conditions, can be easily operated using the twist grip.

Freewheelin’Twins for Best Traction
A vehicle with a driven rear axle and two wheels at the rear has always presented designers with an interesting challenge. Technical background: When cornering, the outer wheel travels a longer distance than the inner wheel. With a rigid rear axle driving both wheels at the same speed, increased slip occurs. This impairs the driving characteristics.The solution to this is usually a differential gear. Our engineers have decided to avoid this route for three reasons: A differential gear is costly, it’s heavy and it needs maintenance.
With the Freewheelin’ Twin technology, HP Velotechnik has implemented a solution that is simple and light in weight. The design uses two freewheels arranged axially in the rear wheel axle. It works in a way so only the inner wheel is driven when cornering.
An additional advantage over a differential is a situation that is quite familiar to trike riders: If a rear wheel spins on loose ground, for example when starting uphill on gravel, a differential would direct the entire drive force to this spinning wheel precisely. The result: you wouldn’t move away. The Freewheelin’ Twins on the Delta tx are different. Here, the power automatically goes to both wheels – you have plenty of grip to make good progress even in these scenarios.
Luggage
You Want to Move a Lot – We Have the Trike for It!
Comfortable competition for cargo bikes: Transform your Delta tx into a versatile transporter! With our various luggage systems, you can carry a total up to 50 kg (110 lbs) of cargo easily, safely and with plush suspension on your trike. Even more so, your stable tricycle is amazingly versatile as an everyday and touring bike, even in winter.
To achieve good road holding, your cargo must be transported with the lowest possible center of gravity. The space between the rear wheels is therefore reserved for a stable luggage carrier platform. Your plus: The extra-large basket from HP Velotechnik is already included! You can easily remove it by the handle and take it with you when you go shopping.
You can also use the trike without the 25 cm (10″) high basket and load a large crate of beverages, for example. The platform carrier is securely attached to the suspended part of the frame and has a comfortable loading height of 38 cm (15″). The internal dimensions are 48 x 32.5 cm (18.9″ x 12.8″) and the maximum load is 25 kg (55 lbs).
Above the platform carrier with the large basket, there is still plenty of space for a standard bike bag. Simply hang it in the optional Bag holder behind the seat to carry up to 12 kg (26.5 lbs) of extra cargo. Additionally the Add-on bags designed by HP Velotechnik can be attached to the right and left of the seat. The practical bags, each with 1.4 liters of storage space (1.5 kg or 3.3 lbs), easy to clip on and off – your highly variable companion on a day trip.
Small luggage, right at hand: Our Side bag mounts are the perfect option for attaching standard handlebar bags to the right, left or both sides of the seat. The load capacity of each is 5 kg (11 lbs). And if you want to keep things really cool, you can also fit the practical holders with a standard bicycle cup holder.
In addition to the platform carrier, you can opt for the Trailer coupling option. This allows you to pull a child or cargo trailer behind you with a total weight of up to 40 kg (88.2 lbs). Our Trailer coupling is matched to the Weber design. Tip: If you want to move a lot of cargo frequently, we recommend the extra powerful Shimano STEPS EP801 Cargo motor.

Luggage Systems at a Glance
Your Delta tx comfort trike offers these practical options for transporting your luggage.
The Luggage rack made of sturdy 20 mm aluminum tubing carries 25 kg. It can also be used without the basket. If you also want to remove the rack when splitting the bike: remove it by loosening 3 screws and disconnect the plug connection to the rear light.
The Luggage basket is a special design for HP Velotechnik – few others are as voluminous. The dimensions of 53.5 x 37 cm (21" x 15.5" inside) and a height of 25 cm (10") speak for themselves. Equipped with a carrying handle and a safety rubber clip to hold it in place.
The optional Trailer coupling is designed for child or cargo trailers with Weber coupling. Permissible towing capacity: 40 kg.
Perfect for touring and traveling: With the optional Bag holder, you can carry a standard bike bag safely behind the seat.
With the Side bag mounts, you can mount handlebar bags on each side of the seat. They are always within easy reach, even while you are riding your trike.
The optional Add-on bags behind the seat are ideal for your small luggage. The left pocket has an airy mesh fabric on the side, ideal for stashing the optional Rain cover.
Good traction: With HP Velotechnik’s drivetrain technology, both rear wheels are driven when driving straight ahead. When cornering, you have powerful propulsion without the need for a complicated differential gear.
The fully suspended platform carrier at the rear is generously sized with an internal dimension of 48 x 32,5 cm (19" x 12.8"). The carrier comes with a 25 cm (10") high shopping basket. And yes, if you take that out, you can even carry a standard German beer box on the platform!
Well protected and fully integrated: The motor and battery blend harmoniously into the overall appearance of the Delta tx. To protect you and your clothing from rotating parts, we install low-friction chain guard tubes. At the rear end, the intermediate gears and sprockets are conveniently covered.
Perfectly tailored ergonomics: HP Velotechnik’s OrthoFlex® technology features four highly breathable upholstery pads. You insert these 3D pads that can be individually cut to size into pockets on the side of the seat, perfectly aligning with the shape of your body!

ErgoMesh Premium seat
At the most important contact area between rider and bike, the seat systems from HP Velotechnik create an exemplary ergonomic connection. Maximum comfort is achieved with the optionally available ErgoMesh Premium. seat. Like with the ErgoMesh seat supplied as standard, you can choose between two seat heights and widths. To help you customize the seat, the backrest and seat surface of the ErgoMesh Premium can also be adjusted independently of each other. Its 3D-shaped seat frame, a highly breathable multi-layer support fabric and our sophisticated OrthoFlex® technology set the highest standards in terms of seating comfort.
Headrest
The Headrest for the ErgoMesh and Ergomesh Premium mesh seats can be adjusted in height and inclination in seconds thanks to its quick-release design. The mesh upholstery is washable.
Fenders / Mudguards
Excellent protection against splashing water: The SKS mudguards used on the Delta tx are not only extra wide at 69 mm, but also particularly long and equipped with a flexible splash guard. Rear one side mounted.
Rain Cover for Seats
The Rain cover for the seat is made of blue ripstop nylon – so your seat stays dry after a rain storm. You can always have the cover with you, it can be rolled or folded narrowly and then easily fits into the backrest (ErgoMesh seat) or into the optional Add-on bags behind your seat.
Rear Mirror
With the extra large viewing angle of the B+M Cycle Star E mirror, you can see what's going on behind you. The field of view is easily adjustable, but remains in position even on rough surfaces.
Lighting system IQ-X
With up to 150 lux, the exceptionally powerful IQ-X headlight from Busch+Müller illuminates the road ahead of you – literally a visible upgrade over the standard equipment.
Turn indicator
With our WingBling turn signal set, we offer a useful safety and comfort option for tricycles with e-drives. The rider's hands can safely remain on the handlebars while signaling a turn and can concentrate on turning and braking.
Frame Lock
Immobiliser: Push out the handle, pull out the key – and the powerful Frame lock AXA Imenso effectively locks the front wheel. The AXA accessory Chain for frame lock (1 m / 39" long) is recommended as an extra to securely lock the trike to a bicycle parking device.

Air shock
Anti-tip wheels
The Anti-tip wheels increase safety in extreme riding situations, for example on inclines or when starting off with a lot of power. Recommended for: tall riders, with a high seat, with a Bag holder, with a high luggage load; always with the extra powerful drive option Shimano STEPS EP801 Cargo.
Vertical parking stand
Space can be precious, especially in urban areas or at home when you want to park your bike.That's why we developed the Vertical parking stand.Two small 3D-printed blocks are bolted to the luggage basket, plus two short aluminum pins on the back of the seat. All parts are designed in such a way that luggage storage is not restricted. To set up the trike, you only need to briefly push on the Luggage rack with your foot and pull gently on the handlebars.This is even easier with the two small (optional) wheels under the luggage rack.
Coupled disc brakes
The Delta tx is equipped with two independent brakes. It comes stock with separately controlled rear brakes. If you select the Coupled disc brakes option, you will need an additional stopper. If you choose to have the additional brake mounted at the front wheel instead of the rear wheel, the splitting capability of your trike will be limited due to the cable routing.
Parking Brake
What the handbrake does in the car is done by the Parking brake on the tricycle: safe parking even on sloping ground assured by a brake with a large thumb lock lever. The option is suitable for mounting on the rear wheel. If you want the stopper on the front wheel, this will limit the splittability of the Delta tx.
Walking Aid Mount
Easy insertion, safe transport and fast removal of walking aids. The practical fastener of the Walking aid mount adjusts seamlessly to diameters from 20 to 31 mm (0.78" to 1.18"). HP Velotechnik's stainless steel clip fixates the walking aid and releases it again with a non-fumbling one hand operation.
Pedal with heel strap
The alternative for all those who do not want to or cannot use clipless pedal systems. Easy entry with any kind of shoe through the automatically self-righting positioning. Very firm hold, no accidental opening due to foot movement. To release the shoe, press briefly on the rubber reinforcement of the heel strap.
ErgoPedal with calf brace
Especially for users with functional impairments of feet and lower legs, the pedal allows simultaneous active and passive movements which can mobilise with every turn of the crank. Angle, width and height of the lower leg support are adjustable.This version does not rely on an SPD pedal for stability reasons.
