Speedmachine Frequently Asked Questions
The weather protection fairing Streamer and the aerodynamically advantageous Above Seat Steering option on the Speedmachine are not compatible.
Yes, this is possible with the conversion sets offered by HP Velotechnik. Please note that a few combinations are not compatible. The use of Under Seat Steering in combination with electric assist is not possible due to a conflict with battery, nor is the use of an ErgoMesh XL mesh seat.
With the Speedmachine recumbent bicycle, the boom can be pushed in or pulled out within a certain margin (approx. 10 cm / 4″ in total) without changing the chain length. For more far-reaching adjustments it is necessary to adjust the chain length. A quick frame adjustment cannot be used because of the special chain line of the Speedmachine.
HP Velotechnik offers the rear wheel hub motor option for all its single-track recumbents. For safety reasons, the fitting or retrofitting of a bottom bracket motor is not permitted.
In our concept, the specialist trade is the central sales pillar. Our selected and trained specialist dealers can advise you in detail. Above all, however, they offer a promptly available service locally, which we cannot provide within the framework of our manufactory with some production processes planned for the long term. For these reasons we also do not sell directly to the customer at the factory.
